Teach children to manage money early
There's an interesting idea in this What Nobody Tells You About Getting Rich (ft. Morgan Housel) - YouTube interview where Mark Manson is interviewing Morgan Housel. Mark Manson talks about how his family was well up when he was growing up but he never saw that, he didn't realise it because that was his normal. But his father taught them early about managing money through practical lessons. One time he was at an arcade and he wanted money to play and his dad said I can loan you from your allowance and you pay me with an interest. He just agreed without thinking about it and then the next Sunday when it was allowance time he wasn't given enough money and when he asked his dad said, "Remember that day at the arcade? Well I've taken my principal and interest and this is the remainder."
Maybe this is how we teach kids about money when we're well off. They will not realise that they are from a rich family because that's all they know but you can introduce them to the practicalities of handling money early on.
