Types of notes

Three types of notes

1. Fleeting Note: Raw, not distilled.
   • Following Dabi's advise, I will use my daily notes as my fleeting notes. I think it makes sense and reduces the friction.
2. Literature Note: For articles, books, research. Should be written in your own words.
   • Phrase it in the way that you would phrase it
   • These are the notes that you will refer to and quote
   • This is the most detailed version of your mental model
   • I'll be looser with the need to summarise and put this in my own words. Sometimes the words that someone else used are just perfect.
3. Permanent Note: The most distilled note in Zettelkasten
   • A single idea in just a few sentences ideally
   • Extremely concise, for example Be kind, not nice from Personal Values
   • The kind of note you want to memorise
